I have a new love, Bible Art Journaling. I can't get enough, can't stop. I have been doing alot of art this Year.... sketching, painting, mixed media. Now for the last three Months I have combined all three into Bible art Journaling. I hope there are more than a few of My readers who also enjoy this. You basically start with a wide margin note taking Bible, these have been out in the stores for a long while. Now they are called Bible Journals. I began with all My favorite verses that I have loved for Years and did My art that related to those verses. I'm also renewing an interest I had Years ago in inspirational/faith art Journaling. On Mondays and Tues. I paint from My online class I'm taking, mostly acrylics for Me. I never could have dreamed that My Senior Years would have been spent doing art.I knew I would be doing crafts but My crafts dwindled when art took over. What a blessing I didn't expect. My Lord is full of surprises.

Sound Therapy of Spring
The flowers are springing up, the season of singing birds has come, and the cooing of turtledoves fills the air. Song of Solomon 2: 12 LB
The sound of many birds singing early in the morning on a spring day.A favorite but even more charming to Me can be one or two lone birds singing late at night. I love sitting out on My patio at night listening to the Killdeer sing while flying over the golf course.

A Lovely Teacup Exchange and a Winery Reunion of H.S. friends.
This past March very near Easter I participated in Stephanie's( from Enchanting Rose blog) tea cup / coffee mug exchange.I Received a lovely and sweetly generous package from Connie Nightingale filled with Easter decor, a deer key-chain,a hand crocheted doily, a full size bag of coffee and last but not least, a beautiful china mug which I sipped the whole beautiful bag of now gone coffee.
This reunion of us seven H.S. friends was not a tea party, that's for sure ; ) Some of Us hadn't seen each other in 46 Years, graduate class of 1970. I haven't laughed that much in Years. We met in Temecula Ca. which is known for it's beautiful wineries and the vineyards over the lush rolling Hills. I haven't attended any of My official H.S. reunions but this tiny spontaneous reunion was a total success and We plan to do it again, hopefully each time more of "Us Girls" will be able to make the drive. We missed some very good friends this time.I'm the one in the back center.Tuesday, March 29, 2016
Angels of My imagination, just the beginning.
My "Angel of compassion" with Her blanket that covers .I've been enjoying painting all kinds of angels lately.I don't have My own style yet but so enjoying all the lessons.
Angel of India,A study of darker complexions. With My own reminder to Myself "Let go,let God."
Since January, the Lord has kept putting this thought in My mind.....When I get stressed, down and discouraged don't look back or down, look up and out to eternity. This has helped Me greatly and I wanted to share it with You.I hope I'm not repeating Myself.I might have already shared this,I'm having some forgetfulness lately. Hugs and blessings Your way-Denise

Put on Your Easter Bonnet.
.....With all the frills upon it,in the Easter parade.....Memories so sweet.
We wouldn't think about going to Easter church service's in the 50s and early 60s without our bonnets on. Whether You were 5 or 85, churches were filled with Easter Bonnets on that one day out of the Year. In the 80s one Year on Easter morning I wore a plain straw white hat and I think I was one of a very small few, that was the last time I wore an "Easter Bonnet".Such fond memories I have of wearing Our bonnets to Church.... My Sisters, Aunts,Mother, both Grandmothers and even one of My Great Grandmas.Strutting around on the Church's lawn before and after service taking photos. That was one fun outcome of the whole family going to the same church.I loved it as a young girl.
Here's a couple fun easy ones for the little ones today....
is off to work around the house, keeping My mind busy on making new Memories. Blessing to all of You- Happy Easter-Denise

The love of color...Spring has sprung.
In honor of Smiling Sally a blogging friend We have lost this past Week.I colored some flowers. She loved the color blue and hosted a blue blog party. I'm also honoring with My coloring page... A favorite color I'm sure, most of Us can find in God's own birds(My favorite is all shades of purple). Spring is on it's way here in Southern Calif. and even though I'm preparing for Easter,I never forget Saint Patrick's Day.Wednesday, February 24, 2016
To blog or not to blog....that is the question.
I feel like I'm coming to an end of My blogging, for a few reasons. To blog or not, I've been asking Myself this for a while.Do I have anything more to say, haven't I said it all and expressed Myself to the fullest in these 6 Years ? Yes, I have become more or less a pen pal to many kindred spirits. Meeting kindred spirits was the reason I started 6 years ago. I have accomplished My beginning purpose.I feel I now know several women who think as I think and have "met" these fun ,sweet ladies even though just through blogging.I have lost many followers over the last few months and I get a lot less views also.I've been thinking ...should I change My blog?Talk about other subjects? narrow My subjects down?
Thinking thinking thinking.........that's Me. Blessings to all Denise

Altered Art.
I put out a few of My Valentine tags that blogging friends have given Me in ATC Trades. These three cards are from two very talented ladies....Mersades Scott and Kelley Deal.A trade We were all involved with in 2014.I still love trading ATCs and Tags, and I still have all of them from ladies around the world and never plan on getting rid of them. Through these last several Years I have really come to like having these tiny bits of hand made treasures.
(Box of wisdom gained).
These were the first four weeks of classes.I'm a beginner but there are all levels of talent in the class. It's not too late to join Us, registration goes on for a long long time. Everyone, of course, has different goals for this class, Mine is to learn to use My art to glorify My Lord. Love and continued blessings-Denise

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around.
—
Dancing with God,
Verse 1:
You dance over me
While I am unaware,
You sing all around
But I never hear the sound,
Chorus:
Lord, I’m amazed by You
Lord, I’m amazed by You
Lord, I’m amazed by You
How You love me
Verse 2:
You paint the moring sky
With miracles in mind,
My hope will always stand,
For You hold me in Your hand.
