Keep Calm-Craft On

Hands busy ,mind focused,I like it.I'm a person who can  think too much on personal relationships until I get tense, very tense. Arts and Crafts are one activity out of very few that can take My mind off of My personal relationships.

These are a few of My lastest.... An old miniature box I fixed up for My own pleasure. It started with Me learning about Frozen Charlotte Dolls  and the story of Fair Charlotte that goes along with them. In one of the tiny cubbies I wanted to find a sleigh for dear sorry Charlotte.Goggle Her if You don't know about Her. I was thinking about  doing a post on the legend,so many others have done so.
This paper wall hanging is My submission for the Spring blog hop  with Coffee Loving Paper Crafters.
It was perfect for Me since I do lots of paper crafting and I love coffee  :  )

The above plaque is for My youngest Granddaughter when She gets Her own room.

A jar full of cinnamon popperie with color combo of red and purple (My fave combo of colors).

An old Calif. dried fruit box I just fixed up for one of My daughters.  A Bible verse box, with many of My fave verses in it

There are more, but enough for one post. The other activities that help Me relax and not obsess about relationships are swimming and vacationing, both with Paul My husband,as a couple of You may already know because I post on those activities too. What activity helps You mentally relax ? Tell Tell Tell. A kiss a peck and a hug around the neck to all My followers-sweet kindred spirits You are.Keep Calm-Craft On. Denise

Quilting keeps me calm. I try to quilt at least 30 minutes everyday. Love craft items.

I can get lost in the blog world sometimes and that kind of shuts it all out. Also sewing. I love to sew and can't right now-but hope to soon.

Love your arty pieces. Diana

I am going to google poor little Charlotte in a few minutes!

Glad you are relaxing. Art always works. Right now I am designing a new miniature building, a modern city loft that sits at the top of an old restored factory. I haven't yet decided the city or the character who's going to live there. Every one of my miniature places has a story. I don't usually work in contemporary style. This one still has some woodsy touches, though. I'll be posting photos soon. It's taking lots of time.

We are finally thawing out here in North Carolina from the latest snow. Seven inches. Yikes. Almost gone. Details on my blog.

The goodness of God still triumphs everything! Sending blessings from here on the farm.

Good afternoon sweet Denise! I know; art is a way to keep up busy in a positive and almost healing state. Keeping active with both hands and minds is what I LOVE the most. Just thought I'd take a break from my poetry to come to say hello! Anita

You're a busy gal! I love how expressing our creativity helps us to cope with all life's woes. I believe God gave us these talents partly for this very reason. I sure hope you can find a way to nurture those relationships as well as you craft :)

I love that you do crafts to relax. When I'm enjoying something I'm relaxed, so sometimes when I'm drawing I'm relaxed, and sometimes quite tense, lol. But making art relaxes me and also watching Netflix if we're going to be honest, haha. Hope all is well with you Denise!

It is a proven fact that crafting, creating is good for the soul and mind. I crochet as one thing to relieve mental stress. Reading is another thing I do to help, especially God's word. I do love to craft as you do, and have done much of it in the past. As of late I've had the hardest time starting something then sticking to completion with it. A vacation would be awesome. I pray there will be traveling in my future. Blessings dear friend ♡

I love your Frozen Charlotte box - little cabinets full of treasures always catch my eye... and the wall hanging is great with that fresh teal colour. Looks as though you have your hand in lots of crafty pies, with that cinnamon jar and the altered box. Thank you so much for your visit and for signing up to follow - so very much appreciated, and I'm so happy you found some inspiration.

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
