I now have a white owl who lives as my neighbor. We sit in our spa in the freezing night air enjoying the bright night sky filled with stars and He/She visits us. Swooping around above from tree to tree.Last night it sat on the wall and gave me an eye to eye stare. This may be a common occurrence for some of you,but for us it was a first.Living in Southern Ca. my whole life ,I had never seen an owl except in captivity.
So my new fascination of course is, white owls.I even went out the other day and bought an after Christmas sale white owl ornament.
Yes,even in Southern CA. ,baby it's cold outside, esp. in the morning.
I've been inside a lot like everyone else, playing and enjoying gifts from blogging friends. What a great life God has given Me.Outside late at night just me and my wonderful husband in a spa with a white owl. Mornings spent in a cozy cottage with my art.
The most personal photos I've ever published,my bedroom.A little too personal or is it just me ? I do enjoy my little retirement "cottage",that's how it feels to the two of us- Our Cottage.
Two of our blessings....... Thank you again My Lord.

Owls are truly special. How fun to have one swooping around you!
Nothing wrong with personal photos. Your blog should reflect things that matter to you.
Happy weekend!

Beautiful owl. Hope you enjoy the winter and your owl friend.
How fortunate you are to have an owl in your midst. We have a large Barred Owl that lives in the dead tree at the end of our driveway. We see him infrequently, but we hear him several times a week with his, "Who cooks for you" call. I love the vintage artwork. Dianne
I have never seen an owl except in captivity. What a special visitor you have and I know you must be thrilled with every appearance. What a blessing you have to enjoy.

And look at that little angel in the last photo! What blessings Denise. Your choice of photos always makes me feel at peace within myself. Have a lovely Sunday, Elizabeth

WOW....the owl is unreal~you must feel very special with your visitor.
I don't think you pix of your bedroom are too personal! Just a lovely room to share with us all.
Love ya,
Linda
How blessed you are to have your owl friend! I get a thrill when I get to see an owl and it sure is not very often.
When we lived in Blaine, WA. we would see a great White Owl from time to time. He would sit high in our huge old cherry tree and watch us in our sun room. When he would take off he had an enormous wing span. I always felt I had received a wonderful gift when he would come to our tree...
Your two blessings are beautiful!

What a lovely post, sharing all the beauty in your life. I live in Victoria and this last year we have had a number of owls .. while it is thrilling, it seems to mean that their regular habitat has gone :( Thanks for visiting my way! Looking forward to having you play CHRISTMAS IN THE BANK! Hugs,
YOU HAVE YOUR OWN LITTLE ANGEL HERE! Oh Denise, how delighted you must BE!
HUGS TO YOU and you know, when I lived in S. Cal., I saw an owl once. Here in Minneapolis, we had one in our yard! One dark early morning as I was leaving to go out to my garage, I heard a "WHOOOOOOOO!" I thought it was my neighbor over the fence. But it was an owl...a beautiful white owl. If you would like my dear, I can email you a moving photo like the ones I use on my blog. I found a stunning one the other day of a white owl. You can use him on one of your posts. The GIF (what those moving photos are called) will not work on your sidebar but will work in the body of your post.

Isn't Celtic music moving? I do not have one drop of Celtic blood in my body, but in my soul, I have all the music of the world. ENJOY! Anita
aww thank you for lovely inspiration
I live in S. CA, too - and YES, it is brrrrrrry cooooooold! We had a barn owl that lived in the palm tree out front of our ranch. He lived there for over 30 years. We looked for him every morning when we went to the school bus. Then, when my kids were little, we looked for him. Faithful big eyes looking at us each morning.
How neat to get to see a white owl. What a treat!

Yes, life can be wonderful. We also enjoy our home and everything in it and just love to sit with a cup of tea and take it all in. One of my daughters is into owls, not real ones, however. She is collecting them now. Your white owls are gorgeous. No not to personal to give us a peek of your bedroom, very nice. Yes, cold in So. CA. Hugs...Lu
I am trying more and more to show some personal photo's because I think that is how we really get to know each other. I still have a camera that is broke and can't afford a new one so I have trouble downloading photo's but I wont' give up!
You are my sunshine on a rainy day in Washington. I got your hearts and birthday tag. I love you so much for it! You are the only one who remember my birthday so far and I love that about you!
Thank you for making me feel special!
By the way, your owl/hot tub moments are pure magical. Perhaps the owl is bringing you a message from afar...
The new year is over two weeks old, but I still wanted to stop by and wish you a Happy New Year!
That owl is amazing. You are truly blessed!
Thanks for sharing all these beautiful photos, Denise!
Hugs,
Gaby
