Tent Camping in Our 60s and 70s ?

Sum Sum Summertime
Summertime Summertime sum sum Summertime SUMM-ER-TIME.How I miss tent camping with loved ones.A few Years ago Paul and I tried it with Our whole gang once more.
It was so hard on Us,Our daughters ended up practically having to take care of Us.I have camped My whole life,in fact I have always considered it a big part of My life. Now that I'm in My 60s and Paul's in His 70s.We won't be trying it again. Our Daughters agree.RVor trailer is all We can cope with, but now those are getting tough so I'll stick with My memories.....and crafting about those days. How about throwing in a few camping dolls to go along with My huge imagination..

I try to practice looking out and up to My mountains (off My patio) and to My Lord who has given Me all those wonderful memories.
Here's to Us....Ragged and a few pounds gained, soaken wet in the pouring rain at Mount Rushmore a few weeks ago.....from now on,on wheels traveling the US. It's a blessing and joy.Tomorrow  is Our 38th Anniversary, Today We are celebrating....out to dinner and lots of hugs and kisses planned. Denise.I'm partying with Hope In Every Season, You'll find the button to the party on My sidebar   : )

Good Lookin' Couple! When I saw your title "tent camping" I thought - there is a better woman than me! I love to visit the campgrounds, but if I don't go home and sleep in my real bed, I can't move the next day. I always wanted a teardrop camper and we were going to hit the road after we retired. I would be stuck in it forever! And now I have developed vertigo and I am sick to my stomach at the thought of a long car ride. By the way, your view is GORGEOUS!!!!

We no longer go tenting either, too hard on the old body. We stick to the caravan or else motel/hotel, depending on where we are going.
Happy anniversary, have a wonderful celebration.

Hi Denise, I also used to like camping, but now at 70 have decided that tents are no longer for me. My son and family went recently to a lovely place on a lake and wanted DH and I to go with them, but although we would have loved to, we declined. It's too difficult these days... and it was too far to go for just the day. So I understand. Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary, Denise. 38 years, that's wonderful! Even though the camping didn't work out for you this time, at least you tried. I used to go camping with the kids when they were litte, but it's been a long time. I really love this picture of you and your husband. Thanks for sharing it. It's a treasure.

love, ~Sheri

Happy, happy anniversary!!! Loved the photo of the two of you. RV camping sounds good to me. My parents took us kids camping regularly back in the '50's; I loved it, but it was a lot of work for my mom.

Dearest Denise! HELLO and congratulations on 38 years!!!!!! Ruben and I celebrated our 33rd this year. OH THE DAYS OF CAMPING! The entire family would go every summer to the ranch of a family friend out in the Malibu Mountain range. Tents and the works: Mexican food, campfires, live music, wild dancing by the adults as we kids would laugh our heads off....those were the days. But our memories are keen and we must relive them in our art. Craft, write, blog, whatever, but live it out my friend. Thank you for visiting; your comments are so kind. BLESSINGS TO YOU ! Anita

Denise...Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby. I love your picture. I have to admit, I was chuckling when I read your post about camping. I never was a camper. Jim used to take the girls without me when they were little. I just spoiled the fun, so I stayed home and had a break.LOL

So lovely to see your happy face..

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
