Dreaming of Ireland's countryside

I love to read novels that  take place in Ireland's small towns ,villages and countryside.
The characters have wonderful times talking, singing, dancing, working and sometimes even falling in love in these pubs. Some have been going to the same pub for generations and all have become like family.
The quaint simple warm homes charm Me.

The Castles enchant.
Oh the farmlands......

The farms and open land all call My name.
I don't just want to read the books though,I want  to go there Myself.Who wants to go with Me ? We can all go.

We'll listen to the ancient stories told by the locals and wonder all night if they're true.

The chill and foggy moisture will give the air a sweet smell as We take early morning walks with Our dogs.
The Tin /Penney Whistle, along with the Bodhran drums.
Joanie Madden (My favorite musician of all time)

I have a little surprise for Our trip......

Were going to a dinner show :)

In My heart I'll be dancing right along with them.Thank you for going along on a true dream of Mine. I know it was also a dream of My Grammie's too, Kathryn Winn Ketzel. To join the other parties that are traveling to their dream destinations in Europe Please go to Anita's Castles Crowns and Cottages (Simply Irresistible Party) found at the top of My sidebar. Love Denise

Good morning Denise! I do not (to my knowledge!) have a drop of Irish blood in me, but when I hear the music, see photos of the land and hear the lovely accent of natives, I feel a pang of familiar love in my heart for Ireland. Is it a love put there by our Creator? Who knows....but to share the love and inspiration of such places is what's happening today, right here.

Thank you for participating! Visit the others and have FUN! Anita

It would be great fun to listen to the ancient stories told about the locals. Thanks for taking me along on your dream. Coming over from Anita's CCC.

Denise, I love that you picked Ireland! I too have a hard time resisting any book or movie set there. I studied Irish literature in a class back in college and never really got over it :) Hope you will stop by, I am also part of Anita's party.

It is the most enchanting place I've been. You must go! The Ireland I know is in the last photos of the farmlands along the coast on the Beara Peninsula. Super chowder in every little village and the Irish Soda Bread is to die for. Ireland was my dream, too. Love your post. xo Jenny

Sweet Denise! Good morning, love.....

I just saw your kind comment on my post as I sit here eating my lunch before I set out to visit the museum! I too believe that one day we will meet, dancing to the song of eternity! YOWSA, can you even imagine that? NO! Because no eye has seen, no ear has heard.....but if this life offers so many delights such as the Irish countryside, there has to be a HUGE PARTY up there for us!

So you had a crush on an El Ranchoite? OHHHHHH! Those were the days...well my friend, enjoy the party and again, I'm taking out my penny whistle this weekend and also watch Into the West...has you seen that movie? YOU MUST! It is totally Irish, with a white horse....swoon!

Hello Denise:)

Your masthead is gorgeous!

And you make Ireland with its green beauty come alive! (and the scones make me hungry!)
I had the pleasure of visiting Ballyfin last year, and fell in love with the Irish countryside.

Happy weekend to you:)

What wonderful photos of Ireland! My sister-in-law says that it's her favorite country, and she's been to many!

Ah, Riverdance! If I'd saved my old tap shoes, I'd want to dust them off right away!

A delightful post!

I hope that you are able to visit Ireland one day.

I was fortunate to visit Ireland in 1996. I stood in the homes where my great grandparents were born. One of them is now a stable that houses sheep.

My description of Ireland is... ...waking up each day and jumping into a storybook.

You have captured all that makes Ireland enchanting, Denise!

Aww, this is so magical just as Ireland is. I touched on Ireland on a stop to a final destination and remember thinking how beautiful it looked from the air. One day my fiance wants to go there. And I am sure it will be fabulous. thanks you for sharing your dream.

I dream of Ireland, too! I'd love to know some of the titles of the books you're talking about. Always looking for a good read! My post is about my trip to England. One of the girls on our tour was from Ireland. The photo with the two girls in blue---the one with blonde hair is my Irish friend, Leta. I hope you'll stop by my England post, if you haven't already.

Blessings,
Sarah

Denise my friend, you are so kind to have come today to comment and also for participating in the link party. It is touching to see all of the dear ladies comment on each others' blogs, to see how everyone joined in on the spirit of it all. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! And like you, I will continue to dream of far off lands from the comfort of my home since it's really unlikely I'll ever go to any of those dream destinations. But we can dream!!!

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
