Easter at the Cottage

I've been taking photos of My home before guests arrive since I was a young wife.I have always liked the way it looks before it gets messed up by My guests. That just sounds terrible to Me but it's so true.

Each bird in it's own home cloche :) Gnomes and baskets scattered through out Our home.

I haven't had a holiday at My home since We sold Our house many years ago.I long ago handed the baton over to My four daughters. This year though when I was sneakingly asking about Easter they seemed not to want to stand up to bat.I kind of felt I had to step up to make sure they didn't scatter to the four winds (their in-laws).Boy,I  within seconds of that thought said..."Easters at My house."  Surprising My poor hubby. All went beautifully and God gave Me the strength and stamina to get it done.Thank You Lord.

All quiet and ready before the rush.

Eggs hatching in grass.......

As the first few arrive and Gram starts handing out gifts. All the glory to God-Thank You again for the strength.  Partying with Tablescaper Seasonal Sunday.

Such lovely photos as always. I'm sure that your home must be a delight to walk through, Denise. Little grandchildren - such blessings. I love what you said about before the guests arrive. I so agree with you! I also agree with you about the family scattering to the four winds. As a mum, we have to hold the family together :) Well done for holding the celebrations at your house this year.

Adorable granddaughters in their Easter Finest! Your house is lovely. I have the same seconds thoughts - usually about two days before a holiday. Why didn't I step aside and let a daughter or daughter-in-law host. But it al comes together in the end!

I know just how you few...we celebrate few things at my home anymore...I am praying one day that will change. I went through a lot of testing on my heart yesterday, and today I am worn out completely. I have a feeling all is well though...looking forward to good reports from those test. Your home and decorations are beautiful my friend. Oh,and those beautiful granddaughters...adorable indeed...I am sure they made your day :) God is good...all the time. I am so thankful we serve a living Savior..alive and well...to meet our every need....blessings

Good morning sweet Denise! I love those eggs hatching under the cloche! I put out some paper mâché eggs and straw in a old women tray, and OH how pretty it looked. We went for a walk around the lake, took our bibles and had our tea IN THE CAR. It was a fabulous Easter morning.

I pray your spring and summer will be filled with more giggles and smiles from those darling grands of yours. Thank you for coming to visit my friend. Happy Sunday at the cottage! Anita

Dear Denise, what a charming, and uplifting person you seem to be! That's my first impression. I appreciate you coming to visit my blog, and now following, I too, will be your follower. I plan to peruse your blog later today. Mondays are always busy mornings for me, and I have many errands to accomplish.

Everything....and everyone looks so "Easterly." I LOVE the polka dot plates, too! I also really like cloches!

Sometimes I wonder why we clean up before a party or guests arriving only to have to clean up after, lol. Oh well we all do it I think. All looks so EasterLishish, if I were young again I'd enjoy being there as much as I enjoyed viewing there. Thanks for sharing.

How wonderful that you were able to do Easter. Your grandchildren will have good memories! they are adorable!

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
