Update on gastric bypass (bariatric surgery) results

I haven't given you friends of mine an update in ages about My weight loss from My bariatric (gastric bypass) surgery. That's because I never want My blog to be about My weight loss journey. There are so many more fun and wonderful things to talk about in my life.I have lost 103 lbs so far and still going strong,it's still falling off.The bariatric community calls the period of time I'm in "the honeymoon period".It's been 8 months since my surgery. After about one year the honeymoon period is over and your loss slows down on it's own.I just want to take this Sunday morning to thank my Lord  Himself -Jesus Christ-  publicly for giving me this miracle of renewed youth.Yes,I am going to be brave and let you see me without makeup -EEKS- but we were at My daughters to start a day of babysitting and what Grammie wears makeup while babysitting anyway.I have to get a fixed up photo taken of me  real soon so I can see myself, anyway you are all My close friends so here I am : )

HELLO THERE BEAUTIFUL! You appear to have light eyes, like my beautiful mom, and you can GO WITHOUT MAKEUP! Oh Denise, praise GOD for the courage you have to have undergone this but I am grateful that you are having success and that you feel great! Bravo to you. I pray that your life journey will continue to be one of finding your fullest potential. I know MINE IS! WHEW...does God have something interesting for all of us!

Thank you sweet friend for coming to visit today to see my grandmama! Anita

Hi Denise. Great to get this update, and to know that the weight is still coming off. You certainly look good in that photo, and I'm sure it's given you a renewed lease of life! What lovely blue eyes you have. You were very brave to go through with the surgery, and I am so happy that things are going so well. Take care.

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
