A Tues.and Thurs.Tea-update on Gastric Bypass

After Gastric Bypass to lose weight, you don't only have to learn to eat what feels good to your tummy all over again, because not everything you thought you liked before surgery, settles well in your new tummy, but you also have to find what drinks keep your tummy happy. So far water goes down with a hard thump. The only  drinks I found go down smoothly are Passion flavored ice tea, some herbal teas and watered down Crystal Light.I hope as I get farther away from surgery I will find more drinks that go down nicely.

By the way,I've lost more than 40 lbs in 9 weeks.Just keeping a few people who might consider Gastric Bypass as an option up to date with My progress. Please visit Sandi  at Tea Time Tues. and Mrs.Spencer for Thurs.Tea,both found on My side bar. Love and blessings to all. Denise

Thanks for updating us on your surgery..I have heard different stories from different people about having this surgery...some say they would do it again in a heartbeat and others tell me it was a huge mistake, that they have horrible problems with their stomach even after a year or more after surgery. I have trying to lose weight doing the low carb thing. Guess,I will see how it goes...this has been a battle all my life. I wish you a huge success with your surgery...some say it changed their whole life..I'm not sure I would want it to do that for me :) But,it would be a blessing to shed some pounds for sure. Blessings

I hope you are well on your way to recovery.

Keep trying new teas since they are settling for you well - there are such rich healing properties in tea! There's NONE in articials like Crystal Light.....green tea in particular is gentle on a body and full of All Good Things.

Blessings to you for your weight loss, that is a huge amount in just 9 weeks - wow.

Get Well Soon!

That sounds like an excellent weight loss to me Denise. It must be strange having to find out what you can eat and drink again without upsetting your stomach. You wouldn't think that water would go down with a bump,, being really natural !

Hello Denise,
Sorry I am so very late visiting. It's been a sad and busy week what with Hubby's nephew passing away and my son flying home from BC for the funeral.

I hope your surgery continues to be a success. Congrats on your weight loss and I hope you feel well soon.

Your teacups are lovely! Thank you for joining me for tea and take care.

Blessings,
Sandi

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
