A Valentine Story

Joshua Tree National Park a few days ago at 4:00 p.m. was magically beautiful, almost empty on this Jan. day.The sun was still bright, shadows were growing long, the air very crisp. While Paul took the dogs for a walk,it was silent.I caught a glimpse of the glimmering sun through a bush.I had to get closer to make sure  the bush wasn't full of sparkling fairies.

As soon as the sun went down below the peaks it suddenly became freezing. With Lola and Pixie cuddled up under my blankets we ate dinner by the fireside and waited for the stars to come out. Oh My.... what a sky full of stars.A little later it got so cold we sat in the car looking out at the stars and talked about our 35 years together.
Our memories of each other and  of ourselves when we were young.

We'll never forget our passion we had for each other.

Spending life growing old together.   P.S. It got so cold  by 7:30 p.m.,us two old folks packed camp and went home :)

What a wonderful adventure. The stars on a clear, winter sky can be amazing. Loved those pictures of you both by the campfire.

Sounds like the doggies were nice and cuddled in your blankie. (o:

Hugs, have a wonderful week.

Oh dear one,

we are going to celebrate our 30th in March, and to think that time has gone by to accumulate 35 years worth of joy for you. To talk about it with each other is a blessing from God. To laugh, to be thankful under a sky of grace.

Ahhhhh....that was romantic dearest! ENJOY EVERY WAKING MOMENT WITH YOUR BELOVED, I do.

LOVE! Anita

Congratulations on those 35 years together! My hubby and I have been married 35 years this year. What a romantic way to spend it, and to have dinner under the stars! Lovely too, that you can talk about your early years. Lovely, heartwarming post. Pity you didn't see any fairies, bit I'm sure they were there!!

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
