Fragrance after the rain in life.

So many unexpected delights have made up my life.I never could have dreamed my "old age" (I'm going to be 59 ) would be so filled joy and creativity.I never took art classes in school.I never considered myself artistic or creative. this chapter in my life is filled with both. Now, I'm not saying anyone else can see it, but I do.I paint often, never ever knowing I would enjoy such a thing.Life has been full of delights.Old age can be like the fragrance after the rain.  My four daughters have grown mature and beautiful inside and out.My 9 (So far) Grandchildren are an unexpected joy.
My imagination is huge and  still filled with enchantment.
We swim and I'm losing tons of weight

I get excited over adventure with my husband.
Birds  and nature have become more lovely to me than ever.
YEAH,for more adventure.

YEAH! for more enchantment.
A tiny bit of my old age art..Heehee, so unusual for me,Denise.
Even photography!Whats going on?
All this just to say : God is always good Hold on to your faith or develop faith in Christ. Even in hard, crying times, which I've had alot of in my life.GOD IS SO FAITHFUL,SO GOOD.HE WILL BRING YOU MORE JOY IN THE MORNING....Like the fragrance after the rain.

Loved this post Denise! At 59 you're still a spring chicken. Hee Hee! I loved your art work by the way. It really is a good time of life, isn't it?! I love how you compare it to "fragrance after the rain". NINE grandchildren! Gosh, that's pretty impressive!! Hopefully you get to see them all fairly often. Here's to many many more good times!

Oh, what a beautiful post! It is full of the love you have for life and family and I can feel your passion. Thank you for your comment today and for wanting to join The Summer of Color - I am so happy to have you - it is a lot of fun! Yes, this week's challenge (and it just went up yesterday) is to create something - anything - brown. The bonus challenge (for a second shot at the brown giveaway) is to incorporate a bold shot of color. Next week (as of the 18th) we start with red.
Thank you! xo

You must be really enjoying your retirement! I am still working and see no end in site. Looking at your post of the palm trees I wonder if we live near each other. I have 3 grandchildren, love to make anything crafty, and am so happy that you visited me.

Nine grandchildren...I am green with envy. I don't think I'll ever get one.
Enjoy your life and blessings.

Your kind words touched me so... To say that God has blessed me with talent really rings true for me...especially because I'm only now realizing how blessed I am... I've been so incredibly insecure my whole life it's rediculous!

God bless YOU! You truly are a Kindredspirit :)

Denise....I found you! Love your blog and you said soooo many things that I feel the same way about. I'll be following you and I think we will be sharing an adventure as we "mature"!

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
