Bloggers block,or Billy Graham's warning?

Yes,I haven't blogged for six days.Do I have bloggers block or what?Since I started blogging last July or so,I've never gone six days without blogging.I might be tired of taking photos or loading them.Could I be running out of teapots and teacups after eight months of showing them.I know I'll never run out of fairies or hobbit  dust and lore.Could it be that last week I read a few paragraphs out of Billy Graham's revised book- Storm Warning, that gave me pause and made me think.I bet it's all of those reasons.I'm not going to quote Mr.Graham but to paraphrase him:He puts out the idea that in our times-the ME generation, filled with "look at me",with facebook and alot of webpages, blogging ect... arn't they all filled with look at me,see what I'm doing,Love this, love that .....well, it was just one or two paragraphs but it's been on my mind alot.Is blogging taking away from my time spent with the Lord?Am I burned out just after eight months of blogging?I don't know, really.I'll be back real soon. maybe even tomarrow TEEHEE. Love you all-Denise

Interesting that he should even mention it. I do think blogging has a tendency for some to try and keep up with the Jonse's. However, I think that wears off rather quickly as they become more secure with their own situation and their own ability whether crafting or whatever they choose to do. I personally find that 99% of all bloggers are so encouraging and uplifting and definitely a place where they pray for each other and rejoice with every success. I think that demonstrates the best of Christian values you can find anywhere. I've made some of the most wonderful friendships blogging, some with people I've never met but still love dearly, and some that I have met and hold even closer in my heart. All of them are beautiful Christian ladies from all over the world that I would never had a chance for our paths to cross. It always comes to the forefront whenever I ask for prayer. I always get 3 times the comments and pledges to pray. I think Billy Graham would be amazed by that kind of response. I do agree that we have to keep all things in moderation. Spending time with the Lord should always come first. Actually, I talk to him all day. I think that's the best way to stay in touch. Hugs, Marty

I feel that same way so many times. Am I writing a blog post that means something? Am I giving some food for thought? I want the things I blog about to have purpose. Not about what I have painted cream and tied a ribbon.

I hear you. There is a thin...as in we are free to do all things as Christians, but not everything is expedient (read profitable, helpful, time worthy, worthwhile).
Thank you for your thoughtful post.

Denise, just became a follower through Miss Spencer. I enjoyed reading your thoughts about blogging. I am thankful for the close friendships that blogging and the internet in general has given to me. I think it's such a blessing and so opposite from how the internet is used by so many. I think relationships are always good and Satan will try to destroy them anyway he can.
I haven't been blogging for too long, but it's a way for me to journel my life. I just couldn't keep a paper jounal! As with anything, we need a break sometime.
Hope to learn more about you...keep blogging.!

I too often find it hard to blog when it seems it's all me,me,me.
But then I also see how I am blessed by coming in contact with wonderful people that I never would have if not for blogging!
Count your blessings instead,
-Blanche

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
