A Valentine Story

Joshua Tree National Park a few days ago at 4:00 p.m. was magically beautiful,almost empty on this Jan. day.The sun was still bright,shadows were growing long,the air very crisp.While Paul took the dogs for a walk,it was silent.I caught a glimpse of the glimmering sun through a bush.I had to get closer to make sure  the bush wasn't full of sparkling fairies. 

 As soon as the sun went down below the peaks it suddenly became freezing.With Lola and Pixie cuddled up under my blankets we ate dinner by the fireside and waited for the stars to come out. Oh My.... what a sky full of stars.A little later it got so cold we sat in the car looking out at the stars and talked about our 35 years together.

Our memories of each other and  of ourselves when we were young.

We'll never forget our passion we had for each other.

 Spending life growing old together.   P.S. It got so cold  by 7:30 p.m.,us two old folks packed camp and went home :)

What's my decor style?

Oh My!I want and very much need help in defining My home decor style.Those of you that have followed me or those who would like to browse at older posts of mine please tell me what you would call my style.I'm always trying to define and narrow down what it is I'm looking for.I'm not an interior decorater.Those of you who are,Want to give it a try?Go ahead,I have no idea.Shabby chic?not really,Eclectic?cottage? gypsy?none of these are it.Any ideas? My four girls   just say "Old lady Style".I just find it hard to get My home as I dream of it.

Grandma Gnome Meets New Friends,And Jan. Tag

I received My  darling  January tag and two extra sweet cards from Karen Hess.First of 12,from Tee's tag swap.You can find both their blogs on my  sidebar.It's a frosty tag,I can almost smell the snow.Thank you Karen.

Grandma Gnome has come to stay.I love her bark hat with moss growing on it.I've already introduced her to some of the gang.Mrs Claus has offered her homemade pudding and Fancy  Mrs.Snow Has Joined her for tea.Were all settling in for the winter.

Does any one recognize Fitz and floyd's Mrs. Claus with pudding .That one year she came out in a gorgeous ceramic or China figurine  and a huge ornament.I  picked the ornament.You know after all these years I still think about passing up  the  figurine .I can't find it now.I really like  Mrs.Claus-anyone else?

Two Of My Loves

These two beautiful young women are one of My many miracles given to me by the Lord.Cheryl and Christine.Their story all started with a little sadness to it.  They were left with their father and needed a woman's hand to grow into the wonderful women that they are.  They were such a joy to raise and each gave their own wonderful contribution to our growing family.Cheryl (in Blue) is now My oldest of four daughters,Chrissy(of course in purple) is three years younger. Aren't they beautiful !I did't have any idea when I married Paul 35 years ago how our lives together would end up with His two darling little girls-none of us do,I know.I don't know why I had no hesitations or fear or even questions about being in their lives at their ages of two and five.It felt perfect, and our lives together felt right .They taught Me how to be their Mom.Cheryl ,with darling curly hair,was the quiet one,loved to get lost in her barbies and books.Loved helping me with her three sisters.Chrissy was our little clown,full of silliness and laughter.Now their both wonderful Mothers with full busy lives.They give Me more love than I could have ever dreamed of 35years ago.My life is so full,partly thanks to them.Out of My nine Grandchildren five of them came through Chrissy and Cheryl.I love them with my whole heart-Thank you Lord!
