Joshua Tree National Park a few days ago at 4:00 p.m. was magically beautiful, almost empty on this Jan. day.The sun was still bright, shadows were growing long, the air very crisp. While Paul took the dogs for a walk,it was silent.I caught a glimpse of the glimmering sun through a bush.I had to get closer to make sure the bush wasn't full of sparkling fairies.
As soon as the sun went down below the peaks it suddenly became freezing. With Lola and Pixie cuddled up under my blankets we ate dinner by the fireside and waited for the stars to come out. Oh My.... what a sky full of stars.A little later it got so cold we sat in the car looking out at the stars and talked about our 35 years together.
Spending life growing old together. P.S. It got so cold by 7:30 p.m.,us two old folks packed camp and went home :)
