Show Off Your Cottage Monday

I posted this story once before but it was a long while ago, thought most would not remember anyway-so---This quilt was made by my Great grandmother and her three sisters in 1930 for the birth of My Mom.I've had it since I was a young bride. The stuffing is coming out-yuk ! It's 82 yrs. old ,so I think it seen it's last year. I've always loved it,My colors and all.The four sisters I've heard were very well known in their area as wonderful seamstresses. They had their home business that did very well.I don't sew at all,not one little bit.So what should I do? I was thinking of using the material?Well anyway,I wanted to show you the altered key Tee from --The Altered Paper-- sent me.I sent her the Blue stone one,Hers is the wedding locket key.Wonderful fun!Now just how to display them, because it was so much fun ,I'll be making more.I'm thinking on that one.Thank you Tee for all the altered fun.

Just shows you how old the Sunbonnet Sue pattern is and how enduring. I have one of my altered keys received and still one to come from America. I have yet to hear that mine have arrived at their destinations. Thankyou once again for my May tag. I love butterflies and fairies. Hugs ValeryAnne (aka Mrs A. )

Good evening sweet friend!

Oh how I thought of you this weekend. WE ENJOYED our cottage this weekend and while in the garden, we put up a birdhouse and then spent most of the days outside pruning and just enjoying nature. THANK YOU FOR VISITING ME and will you be joining the link party? LET ME KNOW, for I am not sure if you are or not. Anita

One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
