Busy and rewarding day-rearranging home,tea,crafts-Thank You Lord.

Bringing garden in doors.....

In fact, some on the dinning room table :(

and in craft/computer room :)

Being summer My patio was scheduled for a "power wash and  painting" the Man said."All the potted plants and decor.will have to be removed.""Hhhhmmmmm" the Lady expressed. The Coffeeberry Cottage is tiny, with only the patio for plants,no real backyard. The cacti and succulent garden was brought in the house by  Husband and He gladly cleaned them off, even dusted them. After moving things around and setting the dinning room table with the succulents I began to enjoy them even more than outside. For one they stay very clean in doors and I've began to baby them.I would suggest we leave them in the "cottage" but We can't put them on the floor because Pixie and Lola ( Paul's most beloved sweetheart doggies) will make a giant mess first time We leave them alone and anyway the pots aren't decorative, they're outdoor pots.
Sweet angel baby Lola (Mutt) and company for... The Princess Herself or actually She thinks The Queen Pixie.

Other than cleaning, rearranging and puttering around the house today, I also took My eight year old Granddaughter Reanna and Her Mom to Barbra's Tea House, for Her 8th birthday. I Love to do this :)

One of My middle Daughters-Chrissy :)

Me-Grammie.

Great times-I love treating Granddaughters to Tea.

After Tea and My nap, I made My 3rd tussey cone out of the 6. This week the SOC challenge was- gray/lavender/with a touch of plum.Wonderful combo. of colors :)  I had decided this week to decoupage the whole thing.........,,,,,,,,

Actually it didn't take a photo too well, the gray hardly shows up but it is there.I do like it -with all the lavenders of course ; ) Love Denise

Aah :) Longest day of the Year,Sunday June 24th.2014

Today out the window of My IMAGINATION,this is one of the views-Oh the colors of Summer.
Yes,Tomorrow is "Summer Solstice" The longest day of the Year.We all think of different sights, sounds and even smells, mostly of days long ago. I remember running barefoot in the grass of Our front yard, playing hide and seek until Mom called Us home in the evening. Summer Camp, huge pieces of watermelon in Our backyard.Oh to be a young girl again on Summer vacation.I wonder what My daughter's memories are and how they differ from My own childhood.I can only be hopeful They have sweet memories. When I was older, but not yet married, I liked to read on the beach .CHRISTY by Catherine Marshell was one of those special Summer memories on Huntington Beach-lifeguard station 3 .What memories of falling in love with all those CA.boys.Oh that's right I was suppose to be reading.

Now  many many hard to imagine years later. This was My" Fine Romance" book of the Year, but instead  of on  the beach, now it's reading in My recliner.
I'm a true fan of Susan Branch. Her Travel journal to England was a fave read this Spring. Her paintings and drawings include a lot of My dreamy color of Summer-Lavender,as the teapots above show. What colors of Summer do You love?

Could it be the teal of the Summer night sky orcould it be the pink coral  of warm sand dunes?

My teal, coral and a splash of bright white cone for Summer of Color.  Very different from last weeks cone.

Thinking of My Parents this Fathers Day.Dad's now 83 Mom passed in 1998 at 66 years old.
That's Me and Dad in the photo below 3 years ago, before My bariatric Surgery.
He's a wonderful Dad :)
Happy Father's Day to My Daddy and to Your's too.
One of my favourite songs that makes me realise God’s always around. — Dancing with God, Verse 1: You dance over me While I am unaware, You sing all around But I never hear the sound, Chorus: Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You Lord, I’m amazed by You How You love me Verse 2: You paint the moring sky With miracles in mind, My hope will always stand, For You hold me in Your hand.
