Striving for a simple life

In my Coffeeberry Cottage I want things simple now.  

My Aunts old  1930-40s tea towel  that she stitched as a girl and My Moms 1940s China.Reminders of My loved ones and days long ago.

Tin advertising of before I was born.The nurse is advertising Red Cross Stoves.

Very very old bowels

made useful.Simplicity you ask?Yes, because I've stopped buying a lot  of  new or old things.I look around at My abundance and just keep bringing them back and rearranging them new ways and for new purposes.It brings Me a sense of  joy seeing the things that my ancestors used.

Update on Gastric Bypass Surgery and just plain fun.

I'm still waiting to hear from the Doctor's office.Everything is done,except a consult with a nutritionist and a psych. consult.Boy Oh Boy,they make you jump through hoops as the saying goes .Every test and consult under the sun they make you have for the gastric bypass This is Kaiser by the way.I suppose if they pay for it one way they make you pay for it in another way.I'm hoping to have it before summer.So.....while I'm waiting......

 I'm doing a lot of swimming day and night,sometimes twice a day even in the cold.

You see I have a lot to live for,so I want to be strong for surgery.

Besides swimming and babysitting,My crafts and blogging and FB and hubby keep me busy :)

Here's how my moss basket is coming.Not done yet.Needs more work.

BLINGALICIUS VALENTINE

A couple of gifts given to me by some sweet ones.I've been spending  one day a week with these two little charmers.The two year old genius made me the heart valentine.His baby brother kissed Me all day.Their Mother gave me the darling purse.

The genius of our family-just like His Dad.

One of My other daughters gave me a hand made hand towel.Made by a sweet lady at her church.I wasn't sure how to display it so it's been moving around my house all day.It will stay above the kitchen sink.

This is my current project I just started a couple of days ago.An old fairy basket that I ruined by letting it stay outside last year.I'm giving it a fresh redo,new moss so far.In the next few days I'll be visiting one of My craft stores to see what else I'll do with it.Stay tuned for final results. I think it will be my main Easter  display.For You Valentine
