The Season Begins!

My holidays now,are filled with my family that God planned for me even as a child.I'm so happy and excited to greet these holidays now as the matriarch of this family.  

With the  magic that  is in the air at this time of year, I still  feel like a child when I go to the stores and see all the beauty and playfulness.It reminds me of wonderful times as a child.

Movies that we all watched  as children with our parents....I miss those years in my parents living room with my siblings by my side.

These scenes are embedded in my mind as part of my childhood. 

Winter Wonder World.....Shimmering with beauty and excitement,something we can't grasp it's so wonderful beyond words.That is when I remember....Oh yes, all this magic, It's Christ...it's Christ that I  feel in the air.Someday I will  be where there is more beauty than we can now imagine,Christians should take back the word magical-that word is ours to enjoy and to  teach now our Grandchildren just how magical heaven will be.

A couple of you asked about my quilt.It's my Mommies baby blanket that Her Grandma and great Aunts made for her when her mom was pregnant  with her in 1930.The captains chair above was my fraternal Grandmother's  that her newly wed husband first bought her after their wedding in the mid 20s.The bowl was a friend of my dad's family She gave it to Him after her 100th birthday.If anyone can tell me about the bowl I would love it.Congrats.again to Kristin!

I was just on Stash Teas web site.I  was trying to pick out a new tea for myself.I can't decide,so many choices.I love the taste of coffee but I've never had it in a tea.Have any of you tried it,what do you think?I do like green teas,my favorite is Tazo  Zen with  lemongrass and spearmint.The last time I tried something real different was Stash licorice-not my favorite try.There are 3 more days to sign up for my arts and craft book giveaway,mentioned  on  my last two post.Got to go,talk to you later :)  Denise

I discovered a wonderfully fun blog called Mommy Katie.I would recommend her to anyone.Delightful giveaways and fun info.You can find her blog on my sidebar for now.She's right now having several giveaways but the one I'm interested in is the American Girl  giveaway.lucky girl who gets that one.I have been charmed by the American Girl Co.for 22 years now, as many of you have.It started with my youngest Daughter Leanne.She looked, and even had a disposition like Samantha the doll . That Christmas I went Samantha crazy as I could afford,although I don't think that's what her Daddy would have said -HeeHee-   I had an idea the other day to finish featuring each of my four daughters on four post.Today is "LeeLee's"day .Back a ways I featured Annette, one of my other daughters.At least I think I did.Leanne was and is the quiet one.The only conservative one.Most of you have at least one like her,the one you say..."I could have raised her with my eyes closed "one. I'm so thankful that the Lord gave me the easy one last because I was a little worn out by then.She was going to go to nursing school like her Mamma did,but that ended when she met her future husband who became a Doctor :)Leanne you are sweet ,calm and loving.. you've always been a joy and my baby.I love you.
